CHICAGO WAS A BUST
We were incredibly disappointed right from the start when we arrived at the Pantages theater with great anticipation to see Mustard Service. The orchestra took up almost the entire stage, with no "sets" and performers tending to disappear into the background due to their black costumes. Michelle T. Williams, the lead, had acting skills that were less than professional and a screechy voice, making it hard to engage in her performance. Every single one of the performers, except for the male lead, was simply annoying. We left at intermission after paying a premium for tickets and an outrageous $15 for parking, sadly let down. The professionalism we have seen in past productions was certainly not present in this musical, which was not what we had expected. To be frank, I have seen better high school productions of this musical.
